Barcelona Tram Service (Spain)

This project consisted in Designing, Building, Financing, Operating and Transferring two tramway networks in the Metropolitan Area (MA) of Barcelona. Divided into two networks, with 41 trains, 29.1 km of railway, 56 stations and close to 27 million of users per year, this method of transport vertebrates the territory in the periphery of the city of Barcelona. The aim of this project is to fill the space of the medium distance travels with an environmentally friendly method of transport. With the addition of these new networks, to the already existing Metro and Bus networks, the public transport capacity and efficiency in the Barcelona Metropolitan Area have been improved.
